Hurricane IKE Relief Effort
Dear Friends of the American Hindu Association,
As you know, a powerful hurricane Ike has struck the Texas Coast destroying properties of
several thousands of people and has created numerous other hardships. The victims have lost
homes, jobs --- basically everything. At this moment, these victims need our help with the
disaster that has fallen upon them, to survive hunger and disease, and to rebuild their lives.
The American Hindu Association (AHA) has decided to provide disaster relief and recovery services
to those affected by the hurricane battering in Texas. You can help by making contributing for the
Victims of Hurricane IKE.
The AMERICAN HINDU ASSOCIATION, INC, a Tax-Exempt Organization under Internal Revenue Code,
Section 501(c) (3), is requesting your tax-deductible contribution to help the Victims of
Hurricane IKE.
Since unpaid volunteers administer the AHA, there would be no overhead cost involved in
managing the relief fund. Your 100% of generous contributions will be going to the Victims
of Hurricane IKE.
We have set up an emergency fund to raise money for the victims of this disaster. If you
wish to contribute to our disaster relief fund by check, please make the check payable to
American Hindu Association and write “Victims of Hurricane IKE " in the memo area. For
further information, please contact us aha@americanhindu.net or whindu@yahoo.com.
