Who should learn photography?
Photography is a part of human life.
There is barely any household without a camera. And it is hard to find an adult who
never used any camera. Yet, irrespective of our profession and knowledge, our knowledge
about photography is quite vague and full of misconceptions. One can't master the art
of photography just by attending a short weekend course. However, learning and applying
the basic knowledge and techniques to meet our everyday life photography need, a short
and systematic approach for few weeks can do a great help.
Why should I learn photography?
Photography is about the special
moments of our life, it talks about us, it talks about our life style, culture and more.
We can't always take a photographer with us for special occassion, parties or those
once-in-life travel trips. If you understand the basic priniciples of photography,
you don't need to blame your camera and always be taking consistently good photos.
You will be surprised to know things were so much easy and simple and your existing
camera sitting in your closet has so much capabilities. It will also help you finding
out what kind of photographic need you have and find a suiatable camera appropriate for
your individual need.
Is there any prior knowledge required?
There is no prior knowledge required to learn photography. Students above high scool
level and any adult can successfully take the course and learn a lot of things do
improve their photography skills.
Is this just a beginners course?
This course is targetted for beginners and those who hadn't taken any
professional photography course somewhere already. But, many things you can and
will learn will be beyond the basics. After the course you need to practise a lot
following the tips and techniques, critique your own photos, find out what went wrong
in a photograph, correct your mistakes.
How much you can use will depend on your
interest and patience with the subject.
